Magnotta was captured in an Internet cafe on Monday afternoon, informed German tabloid Bild.

German police revealed that the killer was recognized by cafe owner Kadir Anlayisli who announced the authorities. “Kadir Anlayisli gave the police the crucial tip: The clerk of the Internet spotted Magnotta and alerted the police”, writes Bild.

Magnotta was apparently watching a website about himself when the owner recognized him, said an employee who added that the owner left quickly the cafe to call police who took the killer into custody shortly after.
