Republican Herman Cain announced Saturday the cancellation of his campaign for the presidential run next year, following allegations of sexual assault and infidelity in marriage, which he denies, according to Reuters (scroll down for video report).

“I will not be silenced and I will not go anywhere,” Cain told his supporters.
Next month, voters in Iowa will begin the electing procedures for the Republican candidate at the 2012 elections, BBC notes.
Cain said that the “false” charges against him affected his family, but added: “I am calm.”
