Hillary Clinton hospitalized with concussion-related blood clot. US State Secretary monitored at NY Presbyterian Hospital
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was taken to a New York hospital after the finding of a blood coagulum linked to the concussion she suffered after a fainting incident at the beginning of December.
“Doctors at NYC’s Presbyterian Hospital spotted Mrs. Clinton’s clot during a medical check on Sunday. The former U.S.First Lady is currently being treated with anti-coagulants” said spokesperson Philippe Reines.
She checked in at Presbyterian where she remained hospitalized in order to allow doctors monitor the drugs over the next 2 day period.
Medical staff at New York hospital will go on evaluating Clinton’s state of health, “including other problems associated with her concussion”, added Reines.
This medical condition is likely to fuel even more the recent rumors over Hillary Clinton’s brain cancer.

Preliminary reports had claimed that the blood clot is not in Mrs. Clinton’s brain. Doctor Sanjay Gupta claims that the anti-coagulants treatment is a proof that the coagulum is not localized at the level of the head where a blood lump usually increases the odds of a stroke.
“I think it’s very unlikely this is a blood clot on top of the brain or around the brain specifically, because you just don’t treat blood clots on the brain that way. That would worsen the bleeding”, Gupta said.
A recent news from Reuters reveals that Clinton suffered the blood clot in a vein between her brain and skull behind her right ear but is believed to recover entirely. That’s what the doctors said today in a statement.
U.S. Secretary of State did not experience any stroke or neurological harm following the clot and “she is in good spirits, engaging with her doctors, her family and her staff”, added the medical staff.
