Bloody protests in KIEV: Police officer shot dead, two others were missing but later released

One of the officers was stabbed and subsequently set free, but the condition of the other two is unknown, informed the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

UKRAINE PROTESTS: Saturday morning around 10.00 local time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv issued a request to the protesters at the Independence Square, also known as EuroMaidan (Maidan Square), asking them to release two other policemen.

A statement signed by the Minister of Interior, Vitaliy Zakharchenko, warns protesters that elite riot police dubbed Berkut “will make use of force” if they do not free the hostages”, reports “The Kyiv Post“. According to authorities, the policemen were tortured by protesters and required hospitalization after their release.
