VIDEO: Paula Seling & Ovi win Romanian Final of Eurovision 2014. Seling drops and breaks trophy, Jury member falls off stage

EUROVISION 2014. Paula Seling and Ovi won the national selection of Eurovision song festival with their song “Miracle” to represent Romania at the continental contest in Copenhagen, Denmark.

It was a tough competition as Mirela Vaida came out first after viewers vote but in the end Ovi Jacobsen and his female partner succeeded in taking over the title after getting more credit from judges’ panel.

Vaida and her song “One more time” surprisingly turned out to be viewers’ main preference after gathering 7509 hits following a nation-wide televote that lasted for half an hour (you can see Vaida’s performance in video hereunder).

The event which took place Saturday evening on the stage of the “Sica Alexandrescu” Theatre in the mountain city of Brasov did not lack incidents. Probably the most embarrassing moment was when Paula Seling dropped off her hands the trophy which was given to her and Ovi for winning the musical contest. That mishap was preceded by another incident starring this time jury member Alexandra (Sanda) Cepraga who sparked fears as she fell off the stage at the ceremony aiming to unveil the winners of the national contest. Fortunately, she escaped with a minor injury and a scare as her 70-cm high fall was not life-threatening. Cepraga received medical assistance on the spot and she is reportedly well.
