Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially opened the Sochi Paralympics on Friday evening amid controversial mayhem in Ukraine and Crimea (scroll for VIDEO).
In his short speech, Russia’s head of state added: “We are proud our country has been entrusted with the honour of this unique event, which has no equal for its inspirational force.”
